City hospital Oct. 7th 1991 6:00am :
                           
                       "Hurry up we need to operate" rushed doctors. All were anxious, when red light was put off and the door latched open, "Congratulations it is a Baby BOY", conveyed the Nurse.Their happiness knew no bounds as their prayers bore a fruit.
                        The first time she took her son into arms, "Look at his soft pink velvety skin, tiny fingers and toes and his smile was like a pearl" delighted the mother. She could not ask for more in life, god bestowed her with worldly happiness and she was in heaven cuddling the prince in her arms knitting dreams about his future.

After few months...




                    "Doctor, there is something which is causing me agony. My prince does not cry for milk nor he utters words like other babies of his age do. Iam extremely worried" exclaimed she. "Let us perform few tests and we shall figure out, all will be fine" assured the pediatrician.

                  "We are Sorry to intimate this madam, your son has who was prematurely delivered shows symptoms of Growth Retardness and Autism and..", " oh please stop it doctor do you even know what are you talking?? My prince cannot be born Autistic, he is fruit of my relentless prayers and penance, i will never accept this" cried the mother taking away her prince back home.


                      Next day she filled the admission form of an international school and was extremly proud to see her little prince decked up in a school uniform.

St.Marys International School:
             
                 Hahahaha !!!!! Look at him, he looks like a clown. Group of fellow students mocked the little prince, tied both the shoe laces together tangled like chains like in Anjali movie, and he could not walk and stumbled down, the Crowd had fun at Bullying.




                       "Already it is late,oh my god why is the crowd gathered in the ground the mother checked hurriedly as prince was not in class. She saw her her prince encircled by crowd crying "mom where are you, please come fast". She slapped the boys and hugged her son to heart. "Dont you feel shy on perfoming such heinous task? " Aunty he is Mad !! He is Psycho !!!" Giggled the boys. "Just shut up i will raise a complaint to the management" 
She hugged her prince," I promise you baby i will take utmost care of you till my last breath", and she set out on the most toughest journey of her life.


After five years..
                                   "Sorry to convey this, we have to give him T.C as he is not performing like how the kids of his age do. He deliberately exhibits autistic features and it is a hindrance to other students" informed the school principal. 

" Mom i dont want to leave my friends dont take me away" cried prince. She was a working woman, and had good support of her husband and though it was tough the sparking smile in charming face of prince made them forget their sorrow. Though prince was 10yrs old, she always had to carry him in arms, needed special care, bathing, brushing, feeding he always needed assistance.


One Fine Evening..                                       " Sob sob..where ard you?? I was searching for you entire house, tears ?? Why are you crying?" Asked her husband. Today at my office everybody were commenting at prince and me, screaming the Autistic boy and his mom" i feel shattered. "Dont worry we shall make his future better", said he.

School for Differently abled special children: 

                       

                   "Here we make them do skill development and frequently monitor each child please be rest assured, here are some formalities" instructed the head. "I don't know, how my prince will adjust amidst the special kids" worried the mother.
                    All the neighbours gossiped about prince, sin and cursed child he is, such a destruction of life this lady must leave him at special kids home. Relatives mocked and uttered dismay, why such a child is born and they maintained distance.




                 No child would play with prince, he would all alone swing around the park and cries" mom why dont others allow me to play with them?" Then she answered, " You are very special child and God's most favorite, all kids know this that god secretly gives you many chocolates so they get jealous ", prince blushed and said " Iam God's favorite", as his mother was bathing him.




Years passed by...
                                      "If my son were a normal child today he would ascend the bus of an engineering college and build his career, i would provide him with best education" exclaimed the mother beholding the young B.tech students near the bustop. All through her life she was tired of taking the insults and lurky comments on being a mom to that special child. She almost reached her retirement. 


                  Her husband passed away early leaving all responsibility to her.Even now to that the 60yr old woman her 30 yr old Son, prince is a little baby to her who constantly needed her care and support. Her hair turned grey, face arms wrinked but the shine in her personality dint fade, her energy was minimal she tired soon with prince's tasks but her inner strength doubled, her poor eyesight made her vision bleak, but her son's image in her eyes was full of glow. Her old hands tremor when she holds coffee cup, but they are strongest when holding her son's hand crossing the road. 


                        Friends of all her age happily retired with their sons getting married, settled and conversing about their grandkids. But this mother was more worried about how prince will survive once she is gone !! She always spent sleepless nights " All through my life i have taken care of my retarded child like gem of my heart, what will happen to him once iam gone? Who will take care of him !!" 
Iam sure god will make a way, he made my life a sacrificing penance by gifting me his own child, i believe lucky to be a mother to God's child" she smiled kissing forehead of prince.




The mighty supermoms aren't they :

                          All the mothers in this world are special but the moms of Autistic kids are a little more special because they nurture their child all through their life and even in old age their adult son will be their infant who cries relentlessly when he doesn't find his mom around. 

                         Such mothers face a lot of criticism in society, insults at workplace, are made fun at public gatherings and even declared as cursed mothers on having a Special child, they suffer all through facing innumerable hurdles financially, economically, personally, many a times they reach an exhaustive stage feeling like why to live such life !! They are torn into pieces but instantly gather themselves as they are the only world to their child. Here's wishing all the "SPECIAL NEEDS MOMS" a very Happy Mothers Day. Never feel low, the "Divyang- special child you have given birth to, is indeed a "CHILD OF GOD" and you are a Divine Mother.




I Salute and hats off to all such SUPERMOMS ,and amongst them are my Divine Mother and this Prince brother !!!!!
